Courtyards!

Kaalee took a deep breath and held out her want. She attempted to conjugate a bird, one of the easiest things to do, and her arm turned into a wing.
"Bloody hell." She muttered, shaking it back out into an arm.

"What are you thinking about while casting the spell? Are you thinking of the technical things, like musculature and nerve systems or are you simply envisioning what you want to bring into existence?"

"What I want to bring into existence, which is exactly what I do with my Metamorphmagus." Kaalee said, with a frustrated sigh. She reluctantly shifted back to her normal features, thinking that might help.
"What do you think about?" She asked him.

"Conjuring is a bit more difficult than your metamorphmagus powers; you were born with the innate ability to change your body just by thinking. That may be part of the problem. Me, I think about what I want to conjur, the details, how it's made. For example," he closed his eyes. "Right now, I'm imagining the feathers and how they lay flat together, the hollow bones, the trill of its song in the morning and," a yellow canary burst into existence. "Voila. You have to truly know what you want to conjur, more than just the surface. Especially in your case, where your magic may get confused with the metaphormagus powers when you simply imagine what you want. Follow?"

Kaalee closed her eyes again and started to concentrate. She went into almost a meditative state, when her arm started burning. She wasn't even remotely prepared for that, and let out a scream, doubling over and grabbing at her arm.

"Kaalee?!" Seb cried, grabbing her and trying to get her to straighten up. "Kaalee, let me see. What happened? Kaalee!"@

"He's close! Why is he so close?" Kaalee sobbed, as she fell backwards so she was sitting, still clutching her mark. She could feel the snake moving faster and faster until it stopped altogether and the burning was gone. Kaalee took several deep breaths, trying to keep the tears back. That hurt like nothing she's ever felt before, and she had no idea why

Seb crouched beside her eyes wide and brow furrowed in worry. "Kaalee? Kaalee, sweets, what happened?"he asked, smoothing back her hair gently. "Did something go wrong with conjuring?"

(I can't remember if he knows or not so I'm gonna go with something kinda ambiguous?)

(Savannah's said something once but he might not remember)

"My mother and the Dark Lord are, were, here." Kaalee gasped, shaking her head. None of it made sense. The only other Death Eaters here were Snape, who was an unlikely person to meet, and Paige, who was even more unlikely.

"Y-your mother and - and - and he-who-must-not-be-name? But, but we're at Higwarts?" He finished weakly.

"These wallks won't keep all that go bump in the night out for long." Kaalee said darkly.
"But for now they do. The forbidden forest goes out beyond the protections of the castle." Kaalee explained, taking her arm off her mark and falling backwards.

"There's a cm,forting thought," he muttered, falling down to his butt and sitting cross legged. "do you need anything?"

"Not really...sorry. I really didn't expect that." Kaalee frowned, closing her eyes.

"OI, come here," he said, opening his arms.

She moved over so she was leaning against him.
"I really am sorry. I just wanted a normal life, or at least one normal day." Kaalee sighed.
"I should know by now that, that just isn't possible." Kaalee said.

"Don't be sorry. It's part of who you are, and I get it. I'm bloody terrified for you but there are some thing in life you don't have a choice about. As long as we can still do this, I'm alright," he said, taking one of her hands and rubbing circles on her wrist.

"So I have a...not really a question but more a scenario or a life choice to pass by you." Kaalee said, and then rethought her words.
"Well that was poor wording...anyways. Hermione Granger came to me yesterday and she is starting this Defense group thingy and she wants me to join, because of my experience and all, but I don't really know if I should." Kaalee said,

He chuckled. "And why shouldn't you? Hermione's a logical lass."

"She is, but I don't think she quite understands how the majority of the population would deal with me being a Death Eater, even if it is to spy on them." Kaalee sighed.
"If I'm joining, you have to join too." Kaalee said, looking up at him.

"Well, why don't you just not tell them, then? This society, I mean. And woah, woah, woah, me? But I wasn't asked first of all, and second I doubt I could keep up with Hermione and the rest."

"No it's...it's because of what I am that she wants me to join. It's a unofficial DADA class, because our official one sucks. It's open to anyone." Kaalee shrugged.

"...Granger knows? I'm interested, but I'll need more details about it. Merlin knows I won't get anywhere near passing the Defense NEWTs with Umbridge's shit teaching."

"She didn't give me much more but yes she knows. As does Harry and 4/7ths of the Weasly children. I'll take it you can who." Kaalee said.

"I'm just worried about the new rules and Umbridge," he confessed, laying his head on top of hers. "And I would have thought that information about being a death eater would be confidential or something. But I suppose the Weasleys and Granger are trustworthy."

"Well I mean it is but my cousin Sirius Black, who isn't a mass murderer by the way, knows and I stayed with him over the summer and the Weasly's and Hermione and Harry was there and it was kind of hard to cover up when the stupid house elf had no fucking sense of secrecy and blurted out to everyone." Kaalee glowered into the air.
"Sorry...that was probably to much information. I'm just going to shut up now." Kaalee sighed.
